Student Attendance

Attendance at Waiuku College

Regular attendance is essential for student success. At Waiuku College, we work in partnership with
whaanau to ensure students attend, engage, and achieve.

Why Attendance Matters

  • Builds positive learning habits and routines
  • Supports academic achievement success
  • Helps students stay connected with teachers, friends, and school life
  • Ensures students can participate fully in class learning and assessments
We expect all students to aim for *at least 90% attendance* across the school year.
Students who wish to represent Waiuku College in academics, culture, leadership, arts, service and or sport must maintain an attendance record in excess of 90% (inclusive of justified absences)
