In-Zone Enrolments
Please note if the student’s permanent residence is within the zone for Waiuku College, they are automatically entitled to attend.

The guidelines for the development and operation of enrolment schemes are issued under Schedule 20 section 4 of the Education and Training Act 2020 (formerly section11G (3) of the Education Act 1989) for the purpose of describing the basis on which the Secretary’s powers in relation to enrolment schemes will be exercised.
All students who live within the home zone shown on the map above and/or described below are automatically entitled to enrol at Waiuku College.
Starting at the intersection of Glenbrook Road and Kingseat Road, travel north along Kingseat Road (odd addresses only) to Mckenzie Road. At that roundabout, follow Puhitahi Creek north until the coastline. Begin travelling west along the coastline and follow the coastline all the way around Seagrove, Clarks Beach, down Taihiki River, Glenbrook Beach, down Waiuku River, up to Manukau Heads, and then south down the western coastline from Manukau Heads to the Waikato River. Follow the Waikato River east until the end of Elbow Road. Travel north along Elbow Road (odd addresses) and then west along Aka Aka Road (odd addresses), then turn north and travel along Eastern Drain Road (west of road included) until it becomes Wily Road. From there, the boundary travels along the eastern edge of Goodwin Road land parcels (all of Goodwin Road included) and then along the western edge of 89C Baldhill Road (163 and above odd, 10 and above even included) until hitting Baldhill Road. Then, travel east along Baldhill Road until turning west up Waiuku Road (odd addresses), turning off at Glenbrook Station Road (odd addresses) until turning off again and heading north along Gearon Road (even addresses until Quinn Road intersection, then both sides of Gearon Road included – from 91A Gearon Road) until Glenbrook Road. At Glenbrook Road travel east, including both side of the road until crossing Taihiki River (down to 913 Glenbrook Road), at which point continue along Glenbrook Road (including only even addresses) until returning to the zone’s origin point at the intersection of Glenbrook Road and Kingseat Road.
All no exit roads within the boundaries described above are included in the zone unless otherwise stated.
Out-of-Zone Enrolments
Each year the board will determine the number of places which are likely to be available in the following year for the enrolment of students who live outside the school zone.
Waiuku College is currently accepting Year 9 out-of-zone applications for 2027.
The Waiuku College Board has approved the enrolment of up to 15 Year 9 out-of-zone students for the 2027 academic year.
Year 2027 out-of-zone applications must be completed online by 5.00pm Thursday 5th November 2026.
If the number of Year 9 out-of-zone applications for the 2027 academic year exceed the allocation, a ballot will be held on Friday November 2026.
Applications for enrolment will be processed in the following order of priority:
First Priority
This priority category is not applicable at this school because the school does not run a special programme approved by the Ministry of Education.
Second Priority
Will be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
Third Priority
Will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
Fourth Priority
Will be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.
Fifth Priority
Will be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the board of the school or a child of a member of the board of the school.
Sixth Priority
Will be given to all other applicants.
If there are more applicants in the second, third, fourth, or fifth priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Schedule 20 section 4 of the Education and Training Act 2020 (formerly section11G (3) of the Education Act 1989).
Applicants seeking second or third priority status may be required to give proof of a sibling relationship.
