Fees for 2020 are as follows:
Term 1 $50 – Coaching Clinics and Weekly Trainings
Term 2 $50 – Competition Costs to enter the competitions, Coaching Clinics and also Weekly Trainings.
Term 3 $50 – All of the above
Fees cover the cost of uniform hire for each of the teams, team entry, practise and game time equipment. (Balls, Bibs etc)
Travel to and from the games needs to be provided by parents. Car pooling can often be arranged between team members to help with transport and the school vans can be available some times.
An expression of interest form must be completed and when all the information is collected it will be passed onto the coaches.
Please wear appropriate training gear and footwear to all trainings. Bring a drink bottle.
Trainings will be held on a day selected by the coaches and will be posted on the sports notice board and follow the facebook page Waiuku College Basketball
Wednesday 3rd June – Boys trainings start in New Gym
Junior Boys 3.30pm – 5.15pm
Senior Boys 5.30pm – 7pm
All Girls training yet to be confirmed.
Waiuku College Basketball teams play in the Franklin Basketball Schools or College Sport competition. These are run on a Thursday night at the Franklin Rec Centre in Pukekohe or a Tuesday or Thursday night at the Pulman Arena, Bruce Pulman Park, Takanini. Games generally run from 4pm to 8pm – junior teams earlier with the senior teams having the later games.
Basketball Muster Night is held in the Waiuku College gym for all interested players. Time slots are as follows:
Junior Boys (year 9 & 10’s)
All Girls – Junior & Senior
Senior Boys (year 11, 12 & 13’s)
Please ensure you wear appropriate training gear and footwear. Bring a drink bottle.
